Wasted Days or Re-Calibration
Fanny Irna oil+ pastels, Exposition Chere Melpomene 2023
Are we really wasting our days when we can’t seem to get ‘much done’, feel adrift or unanchored to what often serves as our routine linking us to the endless lists of scheduled aught-to dos? OR, hear me out is our body providing us with the necessary survival tools to help our nervous systems reset to keep up with the demands of an awakened soul’s journey? The body always knows, like mother nature it is always speaking to us, if only as my continual theme repeats, we are still and quiet enough to listen.
Lack luster energy, brain fog, loss of clarity are very often symptoms of an overwhelmed nervous system, that are autopilot happenings, when we choose urgency over listening. Urgent actions, decisions and thoughts create dysregulated nervous systems that shut down our wisdom, our knowingness. Urgency leads to fight or flight choices that can bring us back to or keep us stuck in survival mode. Which in turn steals our energy, creates blocks to who we want to be, and represses our utmost desires.
My point being that what we perceive as wasted days where seemingly nothing ‘gets done’ many of us are recalibrating our nervous systems. Unknowingly we may be dismantling energies that no long serve past choices, who you are becoming or who you are choosing to be. Yes, we get to choose how we show up in life. Life is ours for the taking and the more trust and surrender in your employ the more clarity unfolds. The caveat being the ego mind, rears up a shadow part of self (collective or personal) that questions your productivity mindset. Here’s the deal loved ones: The shadow is our greatest tool continually leading us to the ongoing ascension of self, helping us to discover and remove energetic blocks. No fear! The more we observe, confront and embrace our shadow selves, i.e. self-doubt, self-abandonment, imposter syndrome, procrastinations, energy of avoiding, or information overload to name a few of the shadow’s power grabs the more they dissolve.
Instead of berating oneself for wasting time or losing a day to “nothingness’ allow your nervous system to reset itself, s-l-o-w down, create self- compassion practices, ask what thoughts are dysregulating, and I would suggest confronting them out loud, ours is a very vocal universe, or naturally write them down and after dissolve the shadow’s imprints by creating a release ritual. If you are reading this most likely you have created rituals and are familiar with the releasing ones. Just my two cents but full moons are particularly keen on helping us release, however whenever there is a heaviness felt, I suggest following the body’s clue and act accordingly regardless of the moon, planetary aspects, etc.
The end game in these times for we awakened ones is to create calm without force. To take the absolutely necessary steps to recalibrate our nervous systems, discover or bring ourselves back into embodying our distinct personal rhythms.
Stay True World,
