Honey in the Heart Fire in the Belly

Bombarded by the continuous assault of fuckeries on our emotions, or basically to anyone who has a conscience, for those who reason, caring or compassion are worthy acts, I am almost giddy witnessing the creative comebacks deemed necessary by the millions who are protesting and literally creating shields against the cruel violations of basic human rights. It feels like many are stirring the fire -in- the-belly type beingness, being driven to take action, while simultaneously making allowances for protecting their peace and their joy. Educator, shaman, and author of the book Long Life, Honey in the Heart, would reason that our earthly raison d’etre and protections lie in sweetening the heart.

What a time for Honey in the Heart, Fire in the Belly to align!
May we all take into account ways to place honey in our hearts, for it feels like we have quite a bit of fire roaming about in ‘our bellies’, not to mention the world at large.
How do we stay joyful while navigating the corruption and injustice that rule over any semblance of dignity and decency now? Coupling our non-violent, harmless defiance in ways that bring us joy can be one-hundred thousand percent satisfying and simple. Haven’t most of us experienced a joy that gave us a fire-in-the-belly act of defiance? Think of this. Take a moment to ask where this is a possibility in your life and where it has happened. Where have you gone against an ‘acceptable’ form of behavior that has in any way brought joy into your heart? Made you crack a smile, acknowledge, something hidden inside that has been revealed, possibly through an act of defiance. Countless acts, be they exaggerated or petite, can combine outward courage with an inner wholesomeness and harmony, which may give way to the necessary miracles (another blog/Substack) for now.
I believe an act of defiance is speaking your truth in a world where it does or does not resonate with those who are listening. Truth has its own reward, and honey in the heart is one of them, because speaking the truth is speaking from your heart. Truth is the honey in our hearts; it is the sugar we are all craving. Truth lives in real beauty, gratitude, and connection. Truth builds communities that recognize and align with its actions. Truth is healthy for the human body, and in these dire times, it is an act of defiance and can be the most joyful, especially when your truth aligns with your deep personal knowing.
Perhaps this is why I named my company Stay True World and teach inner seeing or knowingness that so often becomes challenged, cloudy, and confused by our humanness. Staying true to oneself means checking in, being honest with oneself, and how this presents itself to others, to the world. This means aligning with purpose, clarity, and wisdom, all of which, for the most part, are deeply personal cultivations. There is a massive amount of knowingness that comes from taking a seat at the behest of inner seeing; of intuition that, in turn, gifts a long life with honey in the heart.
Stay True World,
