Remembrance + Ritual
Hinterlands, Anthony Howe
Welcome deep winter, our seasonal ally that encourages us to dream in the dark, the still quiet, and surrender to the vibe that is cosmically designed for reflection, writing poetry/ aligning with a craft, but perhaps most inherently it is designed to enter into a darkness that whispers and possibly shouts to many of us about the elysian unknowingness, the uncertainty that will ultimately confront us all. Here within the spaces and acceptance of the unknown rumbling in the darkness of wintertime (but not limited to) is a grand opportunity to open ourselves up to portals upon portals of vast possibilities that enjoy appearing when we offer our willingness, wonder and listen.
Possibilities that urge us to remember and expand upon our vision that in turn ask what have we forgotten that we must now remember? Remember our kinships, for, as my dear friend and cahooting trickster, Caroline Casey repeatedly suggests is “whatever any of us feels a kinship with is what is ours to become an agent for, to be dedicated too.”
Discover, align and remember our dedications. Remember our own autonomy, our personal leadership, and please remember our ancestors, whom I would highly suggest we invite many of them in during the still, quiet, deep to help heal our earth.
The backstage players in the spiritual world are waiting for us to invite them in, yes, we must ask, always ask and know that ours is a vocal universe so it is best to ask out loud and create a wee ritual to go alongside the ask.
For those who are unaware ritual is simply what we physically do with our imagination. EX: May the lighting of this candle, call forth…… Ritual is a simple, yet powerful way we speak to spirit, and it is a way in which spirit acknowledges us, our asks, prayers, devotions, etc.
Stay true,
MGH
