Finding Resonance

"We don't have to do anything heroic, all we need to so is find our way to the Truth. For, when you discover the seed of Truth that lives within and you crack it open all you will find is Love."

                                                                                                                                        -Tannaz, Living Conscious

“What’s happening in my own deepest sense isn’t only personal.”

                                                                                                       ---- Doris Lessing

I recall hearing, not certain where, perhaps at a lecture, that ancient cultures punished extreme liars by no longer listening to them. They were out casted by their community and I guess left to mumble on their own. I remember this for it resonatedwith me as something true. Such penance seemed to me far more consequential and apropos; it just made sense. Unfortunately, the ethos of ancients have long been erased, for we now live in a culture among many cultures where it has become commonplace to lie

Like many of us I am disturbed by unnecessary bullying, the cruelty, and the record-breaking amount of lying going on by 45. I believe as I write this, the Washington Post and numerous watch dog organizations devoted to fact-checking statements have documented well-over 4,200 false statements 45 has made since he took the oath of presidency. I am told all politicians lie, BUT not ever to this record-breaking extent. Every now and then when I check in with the news I hear statements like:

“You can’t believe what you see.” (45) And, most recently, “You can’t count on anything,” Rudy Giuliani.

OH YES WE CAN. Not only are these immoral statements acutely false, they are disturbing, create self-doubt and suck away at our personal authority. They aim to confuse and divide us, aka, This is Your Mind on Trump. We are all here to discover the truth and once recognized there is a certain resonance that accompanies it, for me, it’s almost like an echo that resonates through my body. Yes it can be chilling at times, but it is the truth.

Interestingly, the word resonance originated from Middle French and does mean to resound or echo, or even amplified to a ring. How we begin to resonate with the truth begins within. There is certain stillness that is required, a certain confidence, and a pack with the unseen world to be guided on your path, to seek your truth. For in silence and stillness the truth will become clear. As difficult as it may appear in these times, I would encourage everyone to take at 20-30 minutes each day to quietly sit (in nature if you can), be still and listen. There is great solace in this practice of being still ---- in truth seeking  --- and once your discovery becomes abundantly clear your resonance bell will begin to chime. In time others will recognize their truth in you and you in them. Visions will be shared, culture will rise, and humanity will thrive.

Stay true,

Maggygrace
